This story is dedicated to Fanomy, who inspired me to keep going- and keep thinking- when I would rather have trashed the whole darn thing. When John begins to change because of the creature he is strangely relieved. In response the enigmatic creature begins to follow him everywhere, either in human or dragon form, even to war in Afghanistan.
